A clean county is an economic development strategy
The Roane Alliance Green Team is a grassroots effort of concerned Roane County citizens who want to make our home the cleanest county in the state of Tennessee. Through planning and collaboration, the Green Team coordinates efforts that highlight our current challenges and implements solutions for areas of concern across the county.
The Green Team includes representatives from communities all over the county and many different walks of life — because first impressions shape whether families move here, visitors return and companies invest.

Four ways the Green Team moves the needle
Coordinated roadside and shoreline cleanups that target the corridors visitors and site consultants see first.
Promoting county recycling services and practical habits that keep waste out of ditches, creeks and Watts Bar Lake.
Neighbors, schools, civic clubs, industry and city crews planning together instead of working in isolation.
Cataloging trouble spots across the county, then planning and implementing solutions where they matter most.
Roane County is a TVA Silver Level Sustainable Community.
